LAHORE A BEAUTIFUL CITY OF PAKISTAN

“If you have not visited Lahore, you have not yet been born.” So, the saying goes in Pakistan’s second largest city. Why such confident largess from the Lahoris, who variously refer to their city as the Paris of the East and the Cultural Capital of Pakistan? I spent a few days there to find out.

The capital of the fertile Punjab (“five rivers”) region, Lahore has been fought over and ruled from by a number of great empires. Arguably, it reached its peak under the Mughal Empire, before the Sikh Empire was entered here and more recently the British Empire, before partition and Pakistan’s self rule since 1947.

Each empire has left their mark on the city and, in architectural terms at least, the city is the richer for it. The city is also the most cosmopolitan in Pakistan, a liberal and creative hub where ‘Lollywood’ the Pakistani film scene, is based.

Having crossed the border between India and Pakistan on foot at the Wagha Border, scene of the nightly flamboyant border closing ceremony, my first stop was Lahore Fort.

Number of historical places in Lahore like Lahore Fort, Badshahi Mosque, Wazir Khan mosque and many others sites.

once you visit there your heart will fill with love and you will desire to come back again.

HEART IS THE BEAUTIFUL CREATION OF ALLAH

The Prophet(S.W.S) said,

"There is a piece of flash in our body that if it is sound then the whole body is sound and if it is corrupt, then the whole body is corrupt."

The heart is the most extraordinary and miraculous gift given by God, in both the physical and spiritual sense. It effortlessly pumps without us even trying. It even starts to beat before Allah creates our central nervous system, which sends the signals in us now for our heart to beat. It’s a beautiful miracle.

Allah calls the heart ‘Qalb’ in the quran, which literally means to turn around or flip. This word basically defines itself.

What’s truly incredible is that the heart knows who its Creator is and does not beat without mentioning Allah’s name. Your heart beats over 100,000 times a day. How many times do you mention Allah’s name in a day? Allah's mercy on all living beings equally. So, we must be thankful to Allah for each blessings.

Food review for Karachi Restuarant Auburn Nsw

Today I had my lunch in the new Karachi restaurant in Auburn. Was really hungry and want to eat especially Pakistani food.  Karachi Beryani and karahi restaurant as it’s name says represent food form Pakistan. Upon entrance it’s newly renovated and whole setup is new .

Me and my friend order for 3 chapple Kabab and HaLeem with naan. As they don’t have Roti or Chapatti. We get our order in timely manner. But food quality was really bad. Kabab was not tasty. It’s taste like they fry whole chapple Kabab from freezer and microwave it. They serve chapple Kabab without Raita and salad. That’s insult to chapple Kabab as per my understanding.

I will give 3 out of 10 to chapple Kabab.

Second dish was HaLeem. It was way batter then Kabab. But as it is Pakistani food and name representing food from Karachi it was all shame and oily food. I never eat that oily and undercook haleem in my life.

I will give 2 out of 10 to Haleem

They charge extra for Raita and Salad.

Chef was very rude to waiting staff .

SABR & SHUKR "Sign of Love of Allah"

There is 125 mentioned about sabr and shukr in Quran. How beautifully Allah talk with us.

إِنَّ اللّهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ

“Indeed Allah is with the patient” (2:153)

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلَاةِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ

O you who believe! Seek help in patience and As-Salāt (the prayer).

Truly! Allah is with As-Sābirīn (the patient ones, etc.).

 [Surah al-Baqarah 2:153]

After Allah commanded that He be appreciated, He ordained patience and prayer. It is a fact that the servant is either enjoying a bounty that he should be thankful for, or suffering a calamity that he should meet with patience. A Hadith states:

“Amazing is the believer, for whatever Allah decrees for him, it is better for him! If he is tested with a bounty, he is grateful for it and this is better for him; and if he is afflicted with a hardship, he is patient with it and this is better for him”. (Sahih Muslim)

Also Allah says,

وَاسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلَاةِ ۚ وَإِنَّهَا لَكَبِيرَةٌ إِلَّا عَلَى الْخَاشِعِينَ

And seek help in patience and As-Salah (the prayer) and truly, it is extremely heavy and hard except for Al-Khashiin (i.e., the true believers in Allah) (2:45)

Response of the Believer to Tests and Trials

al-Fudayl ibn ‘Iyaad (rahimahullaah) said: “As long as people are in a state of good welfare, then once they are tested, they will return to their reality. The believer will go to his faith, and the hypocrite will go to his hypocrisy.”

Calamities are good for the believer in the sense that reward is stored up for him the Hereafter thereby; how can it be otherwise when he is raised in status thereby and his bad deeds are expiated? The Prophet ﷺ said: “When Allaah wills good for His slave, He hastens the punishment for him in this world, and when Allaah wills ill for His slave, he withholds the punishment for his sins from him until he comes with all his sins on the Day of Resurrection.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (2396).

Al-Hasan al-Basri (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: “Do not resent the calamities that come and the disasters that occur, for perhaps in something that you dislike will be your salvation, and perhaps in something that you prefer will be your doom.”

Al-Fadl ibn Sahl said: “There is a blessing in calamity that the wise man should not ignore, for it erases sins, gives one the opportunity to attain the reward for patience, dispels negligence, reminds one of blessings at the time of health, calls one to repent and encourages one to give charity.

Through calamity the believer seeks reward, and there is no way to attain it but patience, and there is no way to be patient except with resolute faith and strong will.

So if calamity befalls a Muslim, he must say انا لله وانا اليه راجعون Inna Lillaahi wa inna ilayhi raaji’oon (Verily to Allah we belong and unto Him is our return), and say the du’aa’s that have been narrated from the Prophet ﷺ.

Shaykh al-Islam [Ibn Taymiyah] (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: A calamity that makes you turn to Allaah is better for you than a blessing which makes you forget the remembrance of Allaah.”

Sufyaan said: What a person dislikes may be better for him than what he likes, because what he dislikes causes him to call upon Allaah, whereas what he likes may make him heedless

Calamities, trials, and tests are signs of Allaah’s love for the believer. Indeed, they are like a cure; although it may be bitter, we accept them since they are from the One whom we love, and to Allaah belongs the best example. The Prophet ﷺ said: “The greatest reward comes with the greatest trial. When Allaah loves a people, He tests them. Whoever accepts that wins His pleasure, but whoever is discontent with that earns His wrath.” [at-Tirmidhi (2396) and ibn Maajah (4031)]
